Full-grain is the top of the hide with the grain intact. It is the only part of the leather that gets better with use: it darkens, softens and takes a shine where your shoulder rubs it. Bonded and split leather straps look similar on day one and crease, stretch and peel within a year.
The back is natural suede. A smooth-backed strap slides on a cotton shirt until the guitar hangs off your neck; suede grips, so the guitar stays where you set it for the whole set.

Put the guitar where you want it, sitting or standing, and note where the strap buttons end up.
Run a tape from the tail button over your shoulder to the neck button. That number is your strap length.
Under 55 inches, Regular. Over, Long. In between, take Regular and use the last hole.
A strap is the one guitar gift that gets used the same day. Pick Regular, add the £5.00 gift box and a note, and if the length is wrong they exchange it free without involving you.
Measure button to button over your shoulder; under 55 inches is Regular, over is Long. A height chart for when you have no tape.
